Shri Kalyanika (Dol Ashram) is referred to as the benevolent energy of the Conscious Universe that sets and holds the stage for everything to be born, sustained, and transformed. This energy manifests itself as the force multiplier of Shiva consciousness and according to the ancient Shaiva texts the very universe is conceived and organized by the gracious energy that is known by different names in different contexts. As part of its social outreach programs and commitment to uplift the underprivileged strata of the society the community runs ashrams, education centers- gurukuls and schools, youth hostels, hospitals, ayurvedik and nature care centres, scholarships, yoga centers, gaushalas, dharam shalas and anna kshetras in the remote areas of India. The community also renders its services for the environment conservation especially in the Himalayan and the Narmada river-bank region, exemplifying its commitment to serving both humanity and nature.

Anna kshetra is an ancient term for community kitchen where everyone sits together and eat the food served as Prasad(divine grace). It is part of the Ashram culture at Shri Kalyanika to provide food to everyone especially in rural areas which often face more significant food security challenges compared to urban areas. This divide can be attributed to disparities in income, infrastructure, and access to social services.
